I heard no speach mad[e] were on horseback <at> <R R Crossings> this was before I came to . the same passed me on my way back and they were then on horsback— I am not right sure that they were to gether but but they were in sight of each other Grover was in my waggon when they passed I cannot recollect that either of them spake to G as that time Grover stated that he wished to come to to See the Grover about the publick arms and sayd & that he had given hand and security for thim and was responsible for them when the gray came up with I did not state before the Grand Jury that was at the Jail all the time the men were there I did not state that wrode from the Jail past my waggon I dont think that I stated before the Grand Jury that Greggs name was James Gregg.
